Airports in India – The Airport Authority of India is the apex body that manages both the International Airports in India as well as Domestic Airports in India. It manages a total of 137 Airports. These include 103 Domestic Airports, 24 International Airports, and 10 Customs Airports. AAI also provides air navigation services over 2.8 million square nautical miles of air space. AAI is responsible for creating, maintaining, upgrading, and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India and works under the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
