Allocation of coal linkages for the non-regulated sector, which includes steel and cement, will be only through the auction route to ensure transparency, government said.

Aurobindo Pharma gets USFDA nod for Isosulfan Blue injection.

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. said it has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture and market Isosulfan Blue Injection, 1%, which is used in lymphography procedure.

Aequs expands its aerospace ecosystem in Europe.

Aequs, which specialises in precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, forging, and special processing for the aerospace, automotive, and oil & gas industries, has acquired the France-based SiRA Group to further extend the reach of its global aerospace ecosystem. The new company will be part of Aequs Aerospace holdings in France.

Indian firm files patent for Zika vaccine candidates.

Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech has filed for global patent of two vaccine candidates – a recombinant vaccine and an inactivated vaccine – for Zika virus. The company announced that it could make available the inactivated vaccine in two years if the Indian Government fast-tracked the regulatory approvals once the pre-clinical trials proved to be successful.

India’s top multinational IT company Tata Consultancy Services has been rated as the world’s most powerful brand in Information Technology Services by a leading global brand valuation firm, the company said.

Reliance Group to set up aerospace technology research centre in Bengaluru.

Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani announced the establishment of Dhirubhai Ambani Centre for Innovation and Research in Aerospace at Whitefield in Bengaluru.

Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh said that better developed ‘futures markets’ for agricultural commodities will be significant for farmers as it could help them secure fair price for their products.

Microsoft acquires SwiftKey.

Technology giant Microsoft is all set to buy software keyboard and SDK application maker SwiftKey. SwiftKey is a free keyword application that powers more than 300 million Android and iOS devices. In a blog post, Microsoft’s Executive Vice President, Technology and Research, Harry Shum wrote: “This acquisition is a great example of Microsoft’s commitment to bringing its software and services to all platforms.”
