Having raised nearly Rs 1,050 crore in the first two tranches, the government will “shortly” issue the third tranche of sovereign gold bond for the fiscal, Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das said.

Perhaps the only regret is that Kingfisher Airlines is not flying today when the oil price is so low,” Mr. Mallya said.

Flipkart launches own ad platform with 50 brands.

Leading e-commerce company Flipkart launched its own advertisement platform, Brand Story Ads, with over 50 leading brands on board. Brands including Yes Bank, L’Oreal, Micromax, Intel, Gillette, Datsun and Sony have signed up with Flipkart to launch their ad campaigns on the platform.

Uber launches bike taxis in Bengaluru.

Uber launched the pilot of its new service, uberMOTO, in Bengaluru that will enable customers to get motorbike rides in minutes with just a push of a button. The service will help people save time and money on short trips across town and provide last mile connectivity, Uber said in a statement.

The Commerce Ministry may soon raise with the Finance Ministry its concern over the differential tax rate proposed in the budget for the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) to come up in a Special Economic Zone in Gujarat, and the rest of the SEZs.

Indian firm to partner Israel for anti-tank missiles.

Rafael of Israel and Kalyani group are setting up a joint venture (JV), Kalyani Rafael Advanced Systems, to build weapon systems in India. It could start with the production of Spike Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) which the Indian Army is in the process of procuring.
