Importance of the LPT.
LPT should not be ignored as the candidates not proficient in the official/local Language would be disqualified. It simply means that, even if you show capability by clearing the preliminary exam and the main exam but could not go through this stage of the process, your efforts will go in vain.
The LPT for the RBI Assistant is a bit different compared to other competitive exams. Unlike other competitive exams, where a candidate who has studied the local language in class 10 or 12 is exempted from the Language Proficiency Test. Here all the candidates will have to write the Language Proficiency Test as it is mandatory. No exemption of any sort will be given to any candidate from appearing in LPT, which will be conducted at the respective offices of the bank.
The final selection will be majorly dependent on the performance in the online mains test. Along with it qualifying in the LPT is essential. This is what makes the LPT so important. To clear this important phase of the exam, candidates are advised to apply for only that state and the language one is decently comfortable with.
