How to score 50+ in AFB : How to score 50+ in AFB- IIBF JAIIB has three papers PPB, AFB and LRAB. To clear the JAIIB exam you need to score a minimum of 50 in each paper. So in this blog you will learn how to score 50+ in JAIIB AFB. AFB is one of the toughest papers to clear, but with proper preparation and guidance you can easily score 50+ in AFB. 

JAIIB AFB – Score 50+ in AFB

JAIIB Paper 2 has 4 modules, out of all 4 modules 19 chapters are there. Because the nature of this exam is numerical, this paper becomes quite tough for candidates who have a non-commerce background. As the name suggests this paper contains two sections Accounts and Finance. Module B and Module C majorly covers Accounts and Module A majorly covers Finance and Module D covers Banking Operations. Check the table of Marks and question distribution of AFB paper below

Module A – Finance Dominated 

This module contains simple formula based topics. Formulas like YTM, Annuity are really important. In this module Depreciation is the most important as case studies questions arise from this topic. EMI calculations and on topic FOREX you get more or less 5 numericals. You can expect more 2 marks questions from module A

Module B – Accounts Dominated 

In this module accounts section of the paper is covered, in this module Debit Credit Entry System is important. Error Rectification is an important topic you need to cover, once you complete this topic, you will be able to answer questions based on error rectification in books or ledgers. Most of ½ to 1 marks questions are asked from this module

Module C – Accounts Dominated

Module C also dominantly covers the accounts section. Ratio Analysis is an important part of this module as well as AFB paper. You study any other topic of AFB or not, you need to mandatorily finish preparing for Ratio Analysis. This ratio analysis is not only in JAIIB it also appears in CAIIB. If you are unable to prepare for Ratio Analysis you can at least try memorizing the formulas of ratio analysis. From module C, candidates can expect 1-2 marks questions. 

Module D – Banking Operations

This module is based on banking operations. If you are working in a bank for more than 6 months it is very easy for you to understand and prepare for Module D. This module contains basic chapters on banking operations. If you are good with this section you can easily get 15 marks from this module.

Important Pointers

  1. 70 questions of AFB are asked for ½ to 1 marks. Most of the ½ and 1 mark questions are asked from Module B
  2. You can expect 1-2 marks questions from Module C and 2 marks questions from Module A 
  3. Module B covers ½ to 1 marks questions and from module D alone you can get 15 marks if prepared well.
  4. Based on the marks distribution of each module, set your time and prepare accordingly to score 50+ in AFB
