KVS Contractual Teacher Recruitment 2024 – Eligibility

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is conducting the Contractual Teacher Recruitment 2024 for the posts of PGT (Post Graduate Teacher), TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher), and PRT (Primary Teacher). For PRT posts, candidates are required to have a Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or its equivalent, pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), and demonstrate competence in teaching in both Hindi and English mediums.

Teaching Post	Eligibility Criteria
PRT (Primary Teacher)	– Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or its equivalent. – Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE. – Competence to teach in Hindi and English mediums.
TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher)	– Completion of a four-year integrated degree course from Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject and aggregate. – A Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks or above in aggregate and in the concerned subject. – B.Ed. or equivalent from a recognized University. – Should pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.
PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)	– Completion of a Two Year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc./MA Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate. OR – Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant subjects. – B.Ed. or equivalent qualification (except for Information & Technology). – Proficiency in Teaching in Hindi and English languages.
