Q1. How many vacancies are announced by NABARD for the recruitment of Development Assistant?

Ans. There are a total of 62 vacancies have been announced by NABARD for the recruitment of Development Assistant.

 Q2. Can everyone apply for the post of Development Assistant?

Ans. No, Applications are invited only from eligible Indian Citizens.

Q3. From when the registration will start?
Ans. The Online registration starts from 27^th August 2018.

Q4. Till when can we apply for this post?

Ans. Candidates can apply Online till 12 September 2018.

Q5. Is there any other mode of applying for the post of Development Assistant?

Ans. No, the candidates must apply ONLY ONLINE through Bank’s website www.nabard.org.

Q6. When is the exam scheduled?

Ans. The exam is scheduled to be held in the month of September / October 2018. The exact dates of examination would be announced separately on NABARD’s website www.nabard.org

Q7. Is there any age criteria to apply for the post of Development Assistant?

Ans. Yes, the candidate must be 18 and 35 years of age as on 01/08/2018 i.e. the Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1983 and not later than 01-08-2000 (both days inclusive).

Q8. Is there any age relaxation?

Ans. Yes, there is relaxation in the upper age limit.

Q9. What is the educational qualification required to apply for the post of Development Assistant?

Ans. The candidate must possess the Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised University/Institutions with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (pass class for SC/ST/PWBD candidates). The result of qualifying examination must have been declared on or before 01/08/2018.

Apart from this, the Candidates applying for post in a particular State should be proficient in the language of the State (i.e. should know to read, write, speak and understand the language).

Q10. I am a Final-year student. Can I apply for the exam?

Ans. Those who are in the final year of their Graduation / Semester may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for Document Verification they will have to produce proof of having passed the Graduation examination on or before 01/08/2018.

Q11. How to convert CGPA into percentage as it is asked to fill percentage in the application?

Ans. Contact your College/University to ask if they have any criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks. If they don’t have any criteria for conversion, the undefined parameter(s) would be worked out as under:

Equivalent CGPA/ OGPA/ CPI or similar terminologies allotted on a 10-point scale	Aggregate % of Marks

Q12. What is the scheme of selection for the recruitment of Development Assistant?

Ans. The selection process involves two phases: Phase I (Preliminary Exam) and Phase II (Main Exam).

Q13. Will there be any interview round after Phase II?

Ans. There will be NO INTERVIEW conducted for this post. Only such candidates who score the cut off marks or above in the Main Examination will be shortlisted for selection.

Q14. What is the exam pattern for Phase I?

Ans. The Phase I Preliminary (Online) exam will be Objective Test carrying 100 Marks.

Q15. What is the exam pattern for Phase II?

Ans. The Phase II Main (Online) exam would include Objective Test of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge and the Descriptive test of English. The Phase II will carry 200 marks.

Q16. Will there be any negative marking in the examination?

Ans. Yes, there will be negative marking for wrong answers in the Objective tests in both the stages. 1/4th mark will be deducted as penalty for each wrong answer.

Q17. What is the cut-off for the exam?

Ans. In Preliminary exam, there will be individual as well as aggregate cut-off. Only those candidates who score sufficiently high in both, individual tests & in aggregate, shall be shortlisted for Main Examination.

Q18. How is the final result declared?

Ans. The Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the online Main examination in the order of merit and biometric verification. The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final.

Q19. Is there any Pre-recruitment training for the candidates?

Ans. Yes, NABARD arranges pre-recruitment training to SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates, free of cost. Candidates who desire to avail of the training may write to the  Regional Office of NABARD in his / her State / HO, Mumbai.

The applications for pre-recruitment training should reach our offices on or before 14 September 2018.

Q20. Can I apply for the vacancies from more than one State?

Ans. No, the Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State only.

Q21. I have applied for the post in Maharashtra. Can I get my Preliminary Examination Centre in Uttar Pradesh?

Ans. No, the Candidates will have to opt for a centre within the same state, they have applied for.

Q23. What is the application fee for the NABARD exam?

Ans.

Rs. 450/- for OBC/General candidates (Examination fee+ Intimation Charges)

Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXS. (Intimation Charges)

Note: Bank transaction charges for online payment of application fees/intimation charges needs to be borne by the candidate.

Q24. What are the modes of payment?

Ans. The payment needs to be made online by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

Q25. What will the pay scale be like for NABARD Development Assistant?

Ans. The Initial Gross Emoluments will be Rs.31,000/- approx. The Basic Pay is Rs.14,650/- per month. There will also be numerous perks like Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance and much more.
