Important Features

• Holistic Approach:
  PMKSY goes beyond creating water sources, emphasizing protective irrigation through ‘Jal Sanchay’ and ‘Jal Sinchan’ at the micro level, with micro irrigation as a vital component.
• Four Components:
  The scheme includes Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP), Per Drop More Crop (PDMC), Har Khet Ko Pani, and Watershed Development.
• Implementation Details:
  PDMC focuses on micro-level storage, efficient water conveyance, precision irrigation systems, and other interventions implemented by DAC&FW.
• Nodal Department:
