English Language – Preparation Tips and Strategies

English Language – Preparation Strategy

The English language section comprises of questions from topics like Reading Comprehension, Idioms & Phrases, Cloze Test, Direct Indirect Speech, Spot the errors, Synonym antonyms etc will be included in this section. The best way to score good marks in English section is by getting a clear understanding of basic grammar rules and practising reading comprehension.

  • Tip 1: Read English Newspaper every day to improve your vocabulary. It will help you score vital marks in reading comprehension and synonyms antonyms.

General Intelligence – Preparation Strategy

The general intelligence section comprises questions from topics such as logical reasoning, Coded Inequalities, alphanumeric series, direction, puzzles on Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Coding and decoding etc. This section is usually trickier than the other sections and therefore bit time-consuming.

The best strategy to score well in the General Intelligence section is to practise questions from the above-mentioned topics and also attempt mock tests to increase speed and accuracy and also identify your strengths and weaknesses. Taking this section lightly will result in poor outcomes in SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam.
