The recruitment for RBI Grade B Notification 2018 exam is out. Like every year, aspiring candidates will need to go through a series of online examinations to get selected for the post of RBI Officer.

The dates of examination announced by the RBI are as follows-



Preliminary/Phase-I 16th August, 2018
Main/Phase-II 7th September, 2018

RBI Grade B Notification 2018: Exam Pattern

  • Prelims (Phase-I)

The first phase of the online examination, Preliminary, is based on the pattern of Multiple Choice Questions. 200 questions of 1 mark each, are to be answered in a duration of 2 hours. Negative marking is there; for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted.

  • Mains (Phase-II)

The second phase of the examination combines both objective and subjective questions. The paper comprises of three sections- Economics and Social Issues, English Language (writing skills), and Finance and Management.

Finance and Management Objective online 90 minutes 100
  • Personal Interview

The Interview round is conducted by a panel of RBI officers. The topic of discussion revolves around the economy, the Government, the nation, and banking sector. Total marks allotted to the final round are 50.

Please note that candidates need to score the minimum cut-off mark in each section of the paper to qualify for the next round.

There is no set format for the interview round. Diverse topics related to the Govt., the economy, current affairs and general awareness are generally discussed. You can go through the study materials available online to keep yourself updated with current trending topics.

RBI Officer exam requires extensive hard work and strategic skills, especially if you are appearing for the first time. Now that you are well aware of the exam pattern and the detailed syllabus, you can start preparing yourself for the same.
