Eligibility criteria
In order to qualify for the RBI grade recruitment examination, you will have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria-
- Educational qualifications
- Aspirants must be at least a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
- If you belong to the general category, you will have to score at least 60% in your final university exam; if you belong to the SC/ST/PWD category, then you will have to have a score of at least 50%.
- Nationality
- Aspirants must be citizens of India
- Aspirants can be citizens of Nepal or Bhutan
- Aspirants can be Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who have migrated from East African countries, or Pakistan, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka and want to settle down permanently in India.
- Age
- Aspirants must be 21- 30 years of age
- For aspirants pursuing M.Phil. or PhD degrees, the lower age limit is 32 years and the upper age limit is 34 years
- Ex-servicemen are given the age relaxation of 5 years
- Ex-employees of banks are given the age relaxation of 5 years
- SC and ST aspirants are given the age relaxation of 5 years
- Jammu and Kashmir citizens born between 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 are given age relaxation of 5 years
- Aspirants belonging to the Other Backward Classes category will be given age relaxation of 3 years
- Aspirants belonging to the physically handicapped category will be given age relaxation of 10 years
- Aspirants belonging to the Defence Service Personnel who have been disabled on duty are given age relaxation of 3 years

RBI Grades
The RBI has different grades and they are as follows-
- Assistant Manager Grade A
- Manager Grade B
- Assistant General Manager Grade C
- Deputy General Manager Grade D
- General Manager Grade E
- Chief General Manager Grade F
- Principal Chief General Manager G
Apart from the above-mentioned grades, there are three more positions that are above the others and they are-
- Executive Directors (ED)
- Deputy Governor (DG)
- Governor
