Eligibility criteria for SSC MTS Exam 

There are certain fundamental conditions prescribed by the Staff Selection Commission. The candidates must mandatorily fulfill these conditions to be eligible to appear for the SSC MTS Exam 2021. The criteria are based on age, nationality, and educational qualification, and the eligibility conditions are as follows:

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who remained in India before January 1, 1962, or a person of Indian origin. Except for citizens of India, the candidates must submit the Certificate of Eligibility published by the Indian Government.
  • The following is the age limit for aspirants to appear in SSC MTS Exam:
  1. 18-25 years for candidates born not before January 2, 1996, and not later than January 1, 2003
  2. 18-27 years for candidates born not before January 2, 1994, and not later than January 1, 2003.

There is an upper age limit relaxation prescribed by the   Commission for candidates of certain reserved categories such as PwD, ST/SC, and OBC categories. The same can be viewed in detail in the notification released by the Commission on February 5, 2021.

  • Candidates should possess the pass certificate of class X from a recognized board or an equivalent exam from any government-identified board as of August 1, 2020.

Generally, the SSC announces the SSC MTS vacancies on their official website through an official notification or circular. The vacancy list for the year 2020 is yet to be announced, and the same is expected to be notified soon. The candidates can check the vacancy details on the official website as soon as it is released.

Meanwhile, the number of SSC MTS vacancies released for 2019 can be analyzed to anticipate and form an opinion on the expected vacancy spaces in 2020.
