‘If God is making you wait, be prepared to receive more than what you asked for’, says Praveen an arts graduate. Read the success story of Praveen Singh in his own words below:
“Hey Guys, I am Praveen Singh from Uttar Pradesh, currently working at Purvanchal Bank. I have cleared RRB Assistant and IBPS Clerk in the year 2017. I started my banking preparation in the year 2015 after completing my master’s in arts. I started my preparation by doing a self-study but later I joined a coaching institute and cleared my fundamentals after which I started taking mock tests. I remember I gave almost 300-speed tests before attempting RRB Assistant examination. It gave an edge to me over any other student and I was able to clear the examination in the year 2017.
Now coming on to my sectional strategy:
Mathematics: I was good at mathematics. So, I didn’t prepare much for it and relied solely on Speed Tests provided by Oliveboard and nothing else. In the banking examination, you need to understand that you don’t need to show how smart or how brilliant you are rather you just need to hone your skills in such a way so that you can get maximum answers correct in minimal time. Be truthful, understand the topics, clear your doubts and then take Mock tests.
Reasoning: For puzzles, the only key is practice. The more you practice the better you become, and you also get a lot of ideas to solve a problem in a quicker way. I only practised puzzles from Oliveboard and found them quite challenging and useful from exam point of view. The puzzles really helped in pushing my own limits and helped me clear the cutoffs.
I attempted my RRB PO examination in the Hindi language, as I am comparatively better at Hindi than English.
General Awareness: I followed the affairs cloud and other online resources. I used to make daily notes and used to give two hours in a day specifically for General Awareness.
The best thing which I learned during the entire journey was how to tackle tough problems, how to stay calm even when the things are not going in the right direction. It is not just a preparatory journey it’s a life-changing journey.
All the Best Guys!”
