‘You are the driver of your own success go after it’. Read the success story of Rahul Chauhan who has cleared IBPS Clerk in his maiden attempt.
“Hi Folks, I am Rahul Chauhan from Rajasthan. I have cleared IBPS Clerk 2017. My journey of Banking exam started in the year 2017 and I cleared IBPS clerk in my very first attempt.
Before I proceed with my strategy I would like to give you a glimpse of my background. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, graduated in the year 2016. After graduation, I tried my hands-on GATE exam but was not able to succeed. Therefore, I decided to take a leap to the non-technical side due to limited opportunity in the technical domain.
I believe that in IBPS or any other competitive examination, your strategy plays a very crucial role. If you are putting in a significant amount of hard work blended with a proper strategy, then things will surely fall into place. As I have an engineering background, I was slightly confident about Quants. Hence, I started my preparatory journey with Quants. I focused mainly on the fundamentals, as I believe competitive examination or any other examination can be aced easily if the concepts are in place. After getting my fundamentals correct I started taking mock tests from Oliveboard on a day to day basis, which helped me a lot by increasing my speed and confidence.
For reasoning, I solely relied on the mock tests provided by Oliveboard. After practising few mock tests, I got a knack to solve puzzles in very less time. However, for the aspirants who are planning to take the exam this year I would suggest please solve one-liner questions first which are generally based upon Blood relations, direction sense etc., in initial few minutes and then move to puzzles. Friends, I followed this strategy and it really helped me by setting a good temperament and provided me with the required thrust.
For English, I relied on reading newspaper. I used to read ‘The Hindu’ on day to day basis which helped me build a sound vocabulary. Apart from reading the newspaper I only followed Oliveboard tests for my English preparation.
For General Awareness, I referred to different online resources which gave me the required information and kept me updated with recent happenings around the globe. I feel that General Awareness component is getting crucial day by day and it is significantly arising as a deciding factor in the exam. So, I would like to recommend you to be thorough with current affairs as it will not only help you in scoring marks in Mains but will also get you brownie points in the Interview.
Hope this helps!
All the Best!!”
