Self-Employment App & Portal: Uttarakhand’s state government has taken a significant stride in empowering its youth with the launch of the ‘Yuva Uttarakhand mobile application.’ This forward-thinking app aims to provide invaluable information on self-employment opportunities for the state’s unemployed youth.

A Vision of Self-Reliance: Self-Employment App & Portal

Addressing students on the cusp of completing their higher education at the Yuva Mahotsav held at Parade Ground, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami shared his vision of a self-reliant and empowered youth.

Extending Employment Opportunities

In a heartening move, the Chief Minister presented appointment letters to 17 individuals selected through employment fairs during the event. He also took time to explore exhibitions organized by various government departments.

‘Prayag Portal’ – The Hub of Job Opportunities

In addition to the ‘Yuva Uttarakhand mobile application,’ Chief Minister Dhami inaugurated the ‘Prayag portal.’ This portal is dedicated to providing job information and serves as a comprehensive resource for the state’s job-seeking youth.

Centralized Employment Information

The ‘Prayag portal’ focuses on centralizing employment opportunities in various government departments. Developed by the state’s IT development agency, this platform aims to consolidate all employment-related information into one user-friendly space.

Self-Employment Centers for Community Empowerment

In line with the government’s commitment to empowering the youth, Chief Minister Dhami announced the establishment of self-employment centers across all districts of Uttarakhand. These centers will serve as hubs where local residents can access information and application details for various self-employment schemes. In the initial phase, two such centers have been inaugurated in Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar.

Collaborations for Skill Development: Self-Employment App & Portal

To enhance the skill set of the state’s youth, Chief Minister Dhami revealed the government’s Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and tech giant Microsoft.

Fostering Innovation and Self-Sufficiency

This strategic collaboration aims to provide skill development courses, ultimately enabling young individuals to become creators of job opportunities, rather than just job seekers. The partnership between academia and industry will play a pivotal role in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and self-sufficiency among Uttarakhand’s youth.
