Verbal Ability Section of XAT : Pattern and Trend Analysis

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is known for its varied and apparently tough Verbal Ability section. Oliveboard brings you a detailed breakup of topics which have been asked in the exam in last 8 years. With less than a month to go for the exam, this will provide you a fair idea of the pattern as well as the topics where you need to concentrate and practice more.

Please note :-

  1. In XAT, there is no clear line of demarcation between Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning Questions. Typical Critical Reasoning questions such as Logical Conclusion/Finding the argument/Strengthening the argument can also be asked as questions following a RC passage.
  2. Most of the FILL IN THE BLANKS Questions are Vocabulary Based.
  3. A good reading speed with clear concepts in Critical Reasoning will easily take you beyond the cut off.
