Koh-i-Noor Diamond Originally mined in India, it was seized by the British East India Company and later presented to Queen Victoria. It is currently part of the British Crown Jewels.

Sultanganj Buddha A large copper statue of Buddha dating back to the Gupta period, it was taken by British archaeologist Alexander Cunningham and is now displayed at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, UK.

Tipu Sultan's Tiger A mechanical automaton depicting a tiger attacking a British soldier, it was looted during the Battle of Seringapatam in 1799 and is currently displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum, UK.

Amravati Marbles A collection of marble sculptures from the Amaravati Stupa, were taken by the British and are now divided between the British Museum and the Government Museum, Chennai, India. Image: Kavin Standage
