Floating Spoon on the Mars On Sunday, August 30, the Curiosity rover captured a photo of a rock on Mars that looks remarkably like a spoon. The picture quickly gained attention online. This happened on the rover's 1,089th day on Mars, and people started talking about the rock in the following days.

Dog Door NASA gave the formation a funny name, "dog door," because it's small, only about 30cm tall and 40cm wide. If there are any Martians, they wouldn't look very impressive. But the door is not man-made. It looks similar to things we find on Earth.

Ripples from the Past NASA's Curiosity rover has discovered fossilized ripples in the shallow bed of a long-gone lake on Mars. This finding is surprising because scientists didn't expect this specific area to have ever been wet. It challenges our previous understanding of the planet's history.

Heart on Mars The entire structure stands higher than the nearby land. The center of it is found south of the Ascraeus Mons volcano. According to NASA, it's highly probable that this feature was created by volcanic activity. Scientists also compared its shape to that of a rubber ducky.

First Selfie on Mars NASA's Perseverance Mars rover captured a selfie with the Ingenuity helicopter. The picture, taken on April 6, 2021, shows the helicopter about 13 feet away from the rover. The image was taken by the WATSON camera on the SHERLOC instrument, which is positioned at the end of the rover's robotic arm.
