He encouraged everyone to think big, dream big, and act big as they move forward. The complex has been named \u2018Bharat Mandalam\u2019.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Before the inauguration, the Prime Minister performed a puja at the Complex and honored the hardworking individuals who were involved in its construction.<\/li><li>During the grand opening ceremony, the Prime Minister also unveiled the\u00a0G20\u00a0coin and\u00a0G-20\u00a0stamp.<\/li><li>To mark this special occasion, the Ministry of Culture presented a variety of cultural programs featuring around 1250 artists from across the country. <\/li><li>As part of the performances, more than 300 schoolchildren from Vidya Bharti sang\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/currentaffairs.oliveboard.in\/rabindranath-tagore-jayanti-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rabindranath Tagore<\/a>\u2018s \u201cAnanda Loke\u201d.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Physical Infrastructure<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) project has revitalized the old facilities at Pragati Maidan and has been developed as a national project.<\/strong><\/li><li>With a sprawling campus area of approximately 123 acres, the IECC complex is now India\u2019s largest destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).<\/li><li><strong>It is being developed by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>It ranks among the top exhibition and convention complexes in the world in terms of covered space for events.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>The newly developed IECC complex includes a Convention Centre, Exhibition halls, and an amphitheater, among other state-of-the-art facilities.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">World\u2019s Largest 28-Foot Tall Nataraja Statue<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 31%\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1009\" height=\"1600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Worlds-Largest-28-Foot-Tall-Nataraja-Statue-at-the-entrance-of-Bharat-Mandapam.jpg\" alt=\"World\u2019s Largest 28-Foot Tall Nataraja Statue at the entrance of Bharat Mandapam\" class=\"wp-image-138091 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/blog\/worlds-largest-nataraja-statue-installed-at-g20-summit-venue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nataraja statue<\/a> is an impressive work of art, weighing 19 tonnes and\u00a0<strong>crafted from Ashtadhatu<\/strong>, which consists of eight metals: gold, silver, lead, copper, tin, mercury, iron, and zinc.\u00a0<strong>Renowned sculptor Radhakrishnan Sthapathy and his team at Swamimalai in Thanjavur District, Tamil Nadu<\/strong>, created this masterpiece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statue itself measures 22 feet in height, and when placed on a 6-foot-high pedestal, its total height reaches 28 feet, making it the tallest Nataraja statue in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This statue represents Lord Shiva as the \u2018lord of dance,\u2019 showcasing his cosmic power of creation and destruction.<\/strong>\u00a0It is a significant and awe-inspiring symbol that adds a touch of cultural and spiritual significance to the event.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cost<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The new Convention Complex developed as a&nbsp;<strong>national project at a cost of about \u20b92700 crores<\/strong>, will play a significant role in showcasing and promoting India as a global business destination.<\/li><li>The state-of-the-art Convention Centre will now provide a platform to display the products of our farmers, MSMEs, artisans, and industries to the world.<\/li><li>It complements the government\u2019s efforts to promote industry and ensure the progress of the nation by building modern infrastructure.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The Convention Centre serves as the centerpiece of the Pragati Maidan complex.<\/strong><\/li><li>It is an impressive architectural marvel designed to host international exhibitions, trade fairs, conventions, conferences, and prestigious events on a large scale.<\/li><li>It features multiple meeting rooms, lounges, auditoriums, an amphitheater, and a business center, making it versatile for hosting various types of events.<\/li><li><strong>The majestic multi-purpose hall and plenary hall can accommodate up to seven thousand people, surpassing the seating capacity of the renowned Sydney Opera House in Australia.<\/strong><\/li><li>The magnificent Amphitheater can accommodate 3,000 individuals.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Design<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The architectural design of the Convention Centre is a blend of Indian traditions and modernity, reflecting India\u2019s rich heritage and confidence in its future.<\/li><li><strong>The building\u2019s shape is inspired by the Shankha (conch shell), while its walls and facades depict elements of India\u2019s traditional art and culture, including \u201cSurya Shakti\u201d symbolizing India\u2019s efforts in harnessing solar energy, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/blog\/landing-site-of-chandrayaan-3-lander-named-as-shiv-shakti\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cZero to ISRO\u201d<\/a> celebrating our achievements in space, and \u201cPancha Mahabhuta\u201d representing the building blocks of the universe \u2013 Aakash (Sky), Vayu (Air), Agni (Fire), Jal (Water), Prithvi (Earth), and more.<\/strong><\/li><li>The Convention Centre is adorned with various paintings and Tribal art forms from different regions of the country, showcasing India\u2019s diverse cultural
