The presentation of India&#8217;s bid took place during the <strong>16th ICCC in Bangkok, Thailand<\/strong>, where it competed against bids from Switzerland and the UAE. The decision to award India the hosting rights was announced on September 20, 2023, during the 16th ICCC in Bangkok. The Indian delegation presenting the bid included Dr. L P Singh, Director General of NCCBM, Dr. S K Chaturvedi, Joint Director of NCCBM, and Dr. Shashank Bishnoi, Professor of Civil Engineering at IIT Delhi.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"About_the_International_Congress_on_the_Chemistry_of_Cement\"><\/span>About the International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement is the most significant and prestigious event in the field of Cement and Concrete research. These congresses have been held at intervals of four to six years since 1918, serving as a valuable link between the academic community and the cement industry. <strong>India previously hosted the 9th Congress in New Delhi in 1992, organized by NCCBM, and the current 16th ICCC is being held in Bangkok, Thailand, from September 18 to 22, 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Significance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Hosting this prestigious event in India presents a unique opportunity to convene leaders, experts, and innovators in the cement sector from around the world. NCCBM is dedicated to research, technology development and transfer, education, and industrial services for the cement, allied building materials, and construction industries.
