He is known as &#8220;Hind Di Chadar&#8221; for his sacrifice to protect the rights of religious freedom for all people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Guru_Tegh_Bahadur_Ji\"><\/span>Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji<\/strong>, the ninth guru of the Sikhs, was born on April 1, 1621, in Amritsar, Punjab. He was the youngest son of Guru Hargobind, the sixth guru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Early Life<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was raised in a religious household. He was educated in the Sikh faith and the Hindu and Muslim traditions. He was also trained in martial arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guruship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was appointed guru in 1664, following his father&#8217;s death.<\/strong> He was a charismatic and inspiring leader. He traveled throughout India, spreading the message of Sikhism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Martyrdom<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 17th century, the Mughal Empire was ruled by Aurangzeb, a Muslim emperor who was intolerant of other religions. He ordered the forced conversion of Hindus and Sikhs to Islam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1675, Aurangzeb summoned Guru Teg Bahadur Ji to Delhi. He asked the guru to convert to Islam, but the guru refused. Aurangzeb then ordered the guru&#8217;s execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was beheaded on November 24, 1675.<\/strong> His martyrdom was a major turning point in Sikh history.
