However age relaxation is applied for those who seek for the relaxation and are eligible. <\/li><li><strong>Nationality\/Citizenship:<\/strong> Candidates who are an Indian citizen, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugees settled in India before January 1, 1962, and persons of Indian origin who migrated from certain countries to settle in India, are eligible. <em>It&#8217;s important to note that candidates falling under these categories, except for Indian citizens, must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India while applying for the exam.<\/em><\/li><li><strong>Educational Qualification:<\/strong><ul><li><strong>For Indian Economic Service (IES):<\/strong> Candidates are required to hold a Post Graduate Degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics. This degree must be from a recognized university or a foreign university approved by the Central Government of India. <\/li><li><strong>For Indian Statistical Service (ISS):<\/strong> Candidates should have either a Bachelor\u2019s Degree with Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics as one of the subjects, or they must possess a Master\u2019s degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics. The degree should be from a recognized university or a foreign university approved by the Central Government of India.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Number of Attempts:<\/strong> Number of attempts of exam are limited for the candidates according to their categories.
