There is a process of selection of candidates. The process includes three stages. Candidates have to clear all the stages. It comprises a single objective-type paper (MCQ with OMR Answer Sheet) with a maximum of 200 marks, to be completed within three hours. The primary purpose of this examination is to screen candidates, and the results will not influence their final ranking. Candidates who qualify the first stage, they will be allowed for the mains exam. In the Nagaland PSC Mains exam, the aspirants have to answer both the descriptive and objective type questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three papers in the NPSC Mains exam:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>General English<\/li><li>General Studies 1<\/li><li>General Studies 2<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of the three papers of the NPSC Mains exam carries 200 marks. One-third of a mark will be deducted for each wrong response.
