Initially, the notification released on <strong>1 July 2026<\/strong> announced <strong>6,715 vacancies<\/strong>, but as per the <strong>updated vacancy notice dated 20 July 2026<\/strong>, the total number of vacancies has been <strong>increased to 7,365<\/strong>. The revision comes after <strong>Indian Bank<\/strong> reported <strong>650 vacancies<\/strong>, while <strong>UCO Bank<\/strong> and <strong>Union Bank of India<\/strong> are yet to report their vacancies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ibps-po-vacancy-last-7-years-trend-2020-2026\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"IBPS_PO_Vacancy_Last_7_Years_Trend_2020%E2%80%932026\"><\/span>IBPS PO Vacancy: Last 7 Years&#8217; Trend (2020\u20132026)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The IBPS PO vacancy trend has fluctuated over the past seven recruitment cycles based on the manpower requirements of participating public sector banks. While <strong>2022 recorded the highest intake of 7,402 vacancies<\/strong>, <strong>2023 saw a significant drop to 3,049 posts<\/strong>. The increase is due to the addition of <strong>650 vacancies by Indian Bank<\/strong>. The major update is the addition of <strong>650 vacancies by Indian Bank<\/strong>, which has significantly increased the overall vacancy count. The <strong>General category has the highest number of vacancies (2,936)<\/strong>, followed by <strong>OBC (2,015)<\/strong>, <strong>SC (1,131)<\/strong>, <strong>EWS (721)<\/strong>, and <strong>ST (562)<\/strong>. Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra and Canara Bank each contributed 1,000 posts, making them the joint-largest recruiters that year.
