The IBPS has released the official notification for IBPS RRB 2017 examination. IBPS has announced a whopping 13,000\u00a0+ openings<\/strong> in Regional Rural Banks<\/strong> for the posts\u00a0Officers Scale-1<\/strong> and Office Assistants<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exams are scheduled to be conducted in the months of September & November:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

You have got around two months to prepare for the exams (IBPS RRB Officer Scale -1<\/strong> and Office Assistant Prelim Exams<\/strong>). Therefore, we suggest you start your preparations now! Both IBPS RRB Office Scale-1<\/strong> and Office Assistant<\/strong> have two sections; Quantitative Aptitude<\/strong> & Reasoning<\/strong> and do not include the ‘English Language’ section like most bank exams do.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Time Strategy by Toppers:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h6>\n

Let\u2019s start with the\u00a0Time Allocation Strategy.\u00a0<\/strong>The new pattern\u00a045 min test<\/strong>\u00a0for IBPS\u00a0RRB<\/span>\u00a0Officer Prelims will probably be\u00a0one of the shortest online exams<\/strong>\u00a0ever conducted. While the test of\u00a045 min to solve 80 questions<\/strong>\u00a0is a challenge,\u00a0time<\/span>\u00a0management across sections\u00a0becomes slightly easier<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0only two sections<\/strong>\u00a0in the exam – Quant & Reasoning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is what some of the\u00a0toppers<\/strong>\u00a0have been doing with their\u00a0time allocation & attempts across sections.\u00a0<\/strong>We checked the\u00a0toppers'(Top 5%<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0<\/strong>>95%ile)<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>performance\u00a0and this is broadly what was their average\u00a0time allocation & average attempts during the exam was:<\/span><\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0What works for some may not work for others. The above will\u00a0vary\u00a0<\/strong>depending on\u00a0difficulty of a section or the paper<\/strong>. Hence, use this only as a guideline & not as a target.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Based on your\u00a0strengths & weaknesses<\/strong>, you can change this to suit your strategy. Use this\u00a0only as a guideline<\/strong>\u00a0if you are unsure of your allocation. If you have a better strategy that is working for you, continue using the same and you need not deviate. Only practice will help you develop a strategy that works for you.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In a 45 minute test, one\u00a0cannot afford to lose focus even for a few minutes<\/strong>\u00a0and hence\u00a0practice is the key<\/strong>\u00a0to developing a consistent focus over the entire duration of 45 minutes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
