The scheme was part of the government\u2019s vision of <strong>doubling farmers\u2019 income by 2022<\/strong>. Within the ministry, three major departments were actively involved:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Department of Agriculture, Cooperation &amp; Farmers\u2019 Welfare (DAC&amp;FW)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying &amp; Fisheries (DAHD&amp;F)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), also known as Farm Science Centres, played a crucial role in implementation.
