Months later, he clearedIBPS Clerk and IBPS RRB PO in his first attempt, scoring around 25\u201326 marks above the mains cutoff before securing his final selection at Bihar Gramin Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His journey shows how a mains-first approach, consistent mock analysis, and strong fundamentals can completely change preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-he-chose-the-banking-path\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_he_chose_the_banking_path\"><\/span>Why he chose the banking path<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While pursuing graduation, Subash had already been preparing for CAT, which gave him a strong foundation in aptitude and reasoning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But he eventually chose banking for its structured recruitment process and job security. Once he made that decision, he treated IBPS RRB PO as his primary target rather than preparing casually while waiting for notifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead of rushing into mock tests, he spent nearly a month strengthening fundamentals like tables, squares, cubes, and calculation speed before gradually moving to sectional tests and full-length prelims mocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The first month was only about building the basics.
