Success Story of Prithwi Raj, who hails from Bihar and initially believed that he could not meet the expectations of his parents due to his casual approach towards his career. But soon he realized the importance of having a stable job in life and worked day & night to clear SBI PO in 2019.<\/b><\/p>\n

Here is his inspiring story:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Hello friends, my name is Prithwi Raj and I hail from Munger, Bihar. Recently I have qualified SBI PO 2019<\/strong><\/a>. I am a B.Tech graduate and I have passed Mechanical Engineering in 2017. I was not satisfied with what I was doing at that time. It hurts me so much that I have wasted my parents money earlier as I was having no proper planning & direction towards my future and career.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, I decided to change my path in banking. But then the real challenges started.Initially, I had zero idea about banking papers. My English was very poor and I was an average student in math and reasoning section.Then I started practicing every section one by one in order to overcome my weaknesses one\u00a0 by one.<\/span><\/p>\n

First l made my English strong because I know that this is the area where I can score well with proper practice. But even after working on this section, I could not see any fruitful results coming out of it. I didn’t give up. In every exam I had tried to find my weakness and make it perfect. As time passed,\u00a0 my speed and accuracy increasing day by day. Till then I had given around 22 examinations but I wasn’t selected in even one of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

I was frustrated, but I did not lose hope and tried again. And then I was able to crack IDBI Bank Asst. Manager examination . It gave me motivation and a ray of hope. Then there was no stopping and I went on to clear many more such examinations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was aiming to clear SBI PO<\/strong><\/a> from start and in 2019 I was able to crack SBI PO\u00a0 prelims exams<\/strong><\/a>. I was very excited but also was concerned because I had just 20 days left in hand for the mains test series. During my mains preparation days, I bought Oliveboard test series<\/strong><\/a> for mains. I gave around 8 mock tests<\/strong><\/a> properly and then analysed the answers with the help of detailed answers & analysis report provided by Oliveboard<\/strong><\/a>. Although l was not able to score much but it gave me confidence to face different types & levels of questions.<\/span><\/p>\n

I was a regular reader of current affairs so it was not a problem for me. I have practiced the test which helped me a lot in the examination. Questions in the examinations were not new to me. I had known that what types of\u00a0 questions I should focus & what I could ignore. It is very important that you are able to choose the right type of question in the examination. After qualifying mains, I also worked properly for the interview. It is also important that you prepare for the interview simultaneously, so don’t take it easily.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tips for Success:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1- Be patient, your time will come.<\/span><\/p>\n

2- Try to find out your weak area.<\/span><\/p>\n

3- Practice a lot.<\/span><\/p>\n

4- Work on English and current affairs, so that you have lead.<\/span><\/p>\n

5- Never give up.<\/span><\/p>\n

6- Work on your strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n

English:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1- Make your vocabulary strong . It will help you understand the meaning of the passage easily. Read the newspaper also because by reading you are able to find the mistakes in the question. Practice new pattern question from YouTube and from the test series.<\/span><\/p>\n

2- Give mock tests regularly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maths:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1- Work more on scoring area like approximation, number series , quadratic equation. You can earn at least 10 marks from that easily.<\/span><\/p>\n

2- Work on DI. You have 10 marks from DI also.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3- Then you will work on arithmetic .Make sure you have some strong chapter in Arithmetic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reasoning:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1- Work on scoring areas like syllogism, coding decoding, inequality.<\/span><\/p>\n

2- Practice a lot of\u00a0 puzzles. Try to solve short puzzles also on a daily basis.<\/span><\/p>\n

3- Try to save\u00a0 time for the puzzles as at times it can be very time consuming.<\/span><\/p>\n

Current affairs:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1- Go through monthly current affairs of last\u00a0 6 months thoroughly. Read it alteast 4 to 5 times, you will able to solve maximum questions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most important is that you must revise everything regularly, especially current affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you think you can, then you will. Just believe in yourself and start your preparation. I failed in 22 exams but I believed in myself that I will crack the SBI. I accepted all challenges and faced all the difficulties to achieve my dream.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
