Voting for the 15 bypoll-bound assembly began on Thursday at 7 am in the morning. Out of the 15 constituencies going to the bypolls, 12 were held by the congress and 3 by JD(S).<\/p>\n

Citizenship Bill faces flak<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Senior opposition leaders, including Congress leader Shashi Tharoor and (CPI-M), asserted that the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) 2019 “violated the basic tenets” of the Indian Constitutions. Leaders even claimed it as unconstitutional.<\/p>\n
