Motivational Success Story of Bishal Biswas<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hi, My name is Bishal Biswas, I graduated from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology in the year 2018. I decided to prepare for the Govt. jobs before my last semester and started early in 2018 January. My main focus was SSC CGL and keeping that in mind I started preparing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SSC CHSL 2017 ( Held in 2018) was my first exam and I failed to qualify the prelims. Back then neither SSC was conducting exams nor I had any idea about bank exams. So I joined a coaching and that too wasn&#8217;t working for me. So I decided to quit coaching and prepare myself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2019, I sat for the LIC AAO exam but couldn&#8217;t clear the prelims. Saw the same in SBI PO also. But I didn&#8217;t lose hope and continued my preparation. Got success in SBI clerk prelims but couldn&#8217;t clear the mains by 3.75 marks. Then came the IDBI PGDBF exam and I couldn&#8217;t clear the final cut off by 2.5 marks. \\<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, I failed to clear the prelims of <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/bank-exams\/?ref=s-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IBPS RRB PO<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/bank-exams\/?ref=s-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CLERK exams<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. Meanwhile Cleared the <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/bank-exams\/?ref=s-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IBPS PO prelims<\/a><\/span><\/strong> but failed to qualify the mains.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite all these failures, I found hope when I cleared the ESIC UDC and SSC CHSL preliminary exams and wrote the mains for both. This was followed by LIC Assistant and <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/bank-exams\/?ref=s-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IBPS CLERK<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>and found success in both prelims and mains.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After joining LIC as Assistant, during the training period, the results of ESIC UDC and CHSL tier-2 were published and I cleared both.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Undeterred by all these failures I found success in 4.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/blog\/previous-year-question-paper-pdf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download Free Previous Year Question Paper PDFs for SBI, IBPS exam here<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Bishals_Section-wise_Preparation_Strategy\"><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2. Bishal&#8217;s Section-wise Preparation Strategy<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2.1 Quant Section Preparation Strategy<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier as I was preparing for SSC, I had cleared the basics and sought help from <em><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCRvrHAyNdOMI_JBkE2pjZtw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oliveboard&#8217;s Youtube channel<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em> and practiced topic-wise from a book named Quantum CAT by Sarvesh K Verma. As bank exams are DI heavy I followed the book<strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/bank-exams\/?ref=s-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Data Interpretation Decoded by Oliveboard<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and practiced all the questions twice before moving to mock tests.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2.2 Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0I have to prepare for this section as I didn&#8217;t have any previous knowledge. Initially, I started practicing puzzles. First I had to make sure that I could solve the<strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/bank-exams\/?ref=s-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> puzzles<\/a><\/span><\/strong> in one go and then I practiced as much as I could for speed. For practicing puzzles, I relied on online quizzes and <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/bank-exams\/?ref=s-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Puzzle Mania Book by Oliveboard<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2.3 English Section Preparation Strategy<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I started with the Norman Lewis word power made easy book and made a habit of reading editorials daily. Practiced quizzes online and <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/bank-exams\/?ref=s-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mock tests<\/a><\/span><\/strong> were the only sources of my English preparation. I didn&#8217;t prepare the grammar portion separately.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2.4 GA Section Preparation Strategy<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GA\/GK: Current Affairs booklets from<em><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveboard.in\/blog\/gk-bolt-monthly-current-affairs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Oliveboard ( Monthly Bolt)<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em>, Banking Bolt, Insurance Bolt fuelled my preparation of GA. This is what you need to clear the bank exams. Read current affairs daily, give mock tests, and analyze them. Make practice a daily habit, revision of current affairs is essential for mains. Keep at least one book for every subject and practice it 10 times instead of practicing 10 books. Give as many mock tests as you can and analyze them because mock tests are the flesh and blood of preparation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Oliveboards_Role_in_Bishals_Success\"><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4.
