and<br>3. the Ombudsman Scheme for Digital Transactions, 2019.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Integration of the earlier three Ombudsman Scheme is a step towards \u2018One Nation One Ombudsman\u2019 approach by making the RBI Ombudsman mechanism jurisdiction neutral.<\/li><li>Apart from this, Non-Scheduled Primary Co-operative Banks with a deposit size of Rs. 50 crore and above, have been brought into the Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021.<\/li><li>Executive Director-in charge of Consumer Education and Protection Department of RBI would be the Appellate Authority under the Scheme.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some important features of this scheme is mentioned below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>New Scheme<\/td><td>In Earlier Scheme<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\u2022 It will no longer be necessary for a<br>complainant to identify under which<br>scheme he\/she should file complaint<br>with the Ombudsman.<\/td><td>\u2022 Earlier the complainant had to figure<br>out under which scheme (of the three<br>scheme mentioned above) his\/her<br>complaint will fall and then register<br>the complaint with RBI<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\u2022 The Scheme defines \u2018deficiency in<br>service\u2019 as the ground for filing a<br>complaint, with a specified list of<br>exclusions.<br>\u2022 Therefore, the complaints would no<br>longer be rejected simply on account<br>of \u201cnot covered under the grounds<br>listed in the scheme\u201d.<\/td><td>\u2022 Earlier complaints with \u2018deficiency in<br>service\u2019 by banks were rejected by<br>RBI.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Retail Direct Scheme: PM Modi has launched the Reserve Bank of India-Retail Direct (RBIRD) Scheme of RBI on November 12, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Under this, the retail investors (general public\/individuals) can buy\/sell government securities in both primary and secondary markets.<\/li><li>Before this, institutional investors (like banks, insurance companies) could trade in<\/li><li>government securities.
