W.e.f the year 2000, the SVP was renamed as JSS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the gradual change in economic and social setup over the years, there is also a change in the role and scope of JSS, which primarily focuses on industrial workers in urban areas. Now the focus is on the non-literates, neo-literates, unskilled and unemployed youth, particularly from SC\/ST\/OBC\/Minority\/Divyang\/\/Women throughout the country, especially to underprivileged people in the rural areas and urban slums.
