The development of the minority community is an important factor if any nation wants to develop. The Central Government thus came up with special schemes and many economic programs to better these communities. These are 5-year plans, with each having something new in them. One of such schemes was the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram<\/strong> is a special area developments scheme that has been designed to address the developmental defects that are pretty obvious in the minority concentration districts. The Government first launched this program in 2008\/09 under the name Minority Concentration Districts (MCDs). There were 255 minority populations and the below national average under this scheme regarding the parameter of backwardness. The objective was to develop assets and offer basic amenities. The program was then restructured and included the minority concentration blocks, minority concentration towers, and village clusters. The program has been designed to address any developmental gaps and deficits in the backward minority concentration as identified by the census. The Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram <\/strong>provides better facilities and socio-economic infrastructure to the minority community, especially in health, education, and skill development. This scheme aims to lessen the earning gap between the minority community and the national average about the backwardness parameter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scheme was earlier called the Multi-sectoral Development Programme (MsDP). It has now been restricted and named the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram and has been effectively implemented since 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
