The IFSCA Exam Pattern for the phase 1 & phase 2 online examination is different. The detailed exam pattern for both streams and both phases are given below:
IFSCA Grade A Phase 1 Exam Pattern
The IFSCA Grade A Assistant Manager Phase I Exam 2025 has two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
- To move to the next stage, you need to score at least 40% overall.
- Both papers have negative marking—¼ mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
- In Paper 1, you must score a minimum of 30% overall. There's no sectional cut-off here.
- For Paper 2, you need to get at least 40% to qualify.
- To clear Phase I, you must pass both papers individually and also meet the overall 40% requirement.
- Keep in mind, Phase I marks are only for shortlisting. They won't count towards your final selection.

IFSCA Phase 2 Pattern
Only those candidates who will clear Phase 1 will sit for Phase 2. The IFSCA Phase 2 Pattern is given below:
- The duration for both the papers is 60 minutes each.
- The maximum marks are 100 marks each for both Paper 1 & Paper 2.
- For Paper 1, the cut off is 30% and for paper 2 of both streams, the cut off is 40% each.
- For Paper 1, the weightage is 1/3rd and for paper 2 of both streams, the weightage is 2/3rd each.
- The aggregate cut off for both Paper 1 & 2 is 40%.
