What is the local language requirement for IOB LBO 2026-27?

 

Local language knowledge is an important requirement for the IOB LBO post. Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak the required local language of the state for which they apply. The IOB LBO selection process has 3 main stages. Candidates first have to qualify in the Online Examination. Those who are required to prove their local language knowledge will then appear for the Language Proficiency Test. Is there negative marking in the IOB LBO Exam 2026?

 

Yes, the IOB LBO Online Examination has a negative marking system. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks or one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. There is no penalty for questions that are left unanswered.
