RRB Technician Exam Pattern 2026, Check the Marks Distribution

Every candidate appearing for the RRB Technician exam should understand the syllabus and exam pattern properly before starting their preparation. The CBT exam for Grades 1 and 3 is conducted for 100 marks. Each question will carry 1 mark. There will also be a negative marking of -1/3 mark for every incorrect answer. The important sections in the RRB Technician Grade 1 Exam involve subjects like General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basics of Computers and Applications, Mathematics, and Basic Science and Engineering. On the other hand, the Grade 3 exam is divided into sections such as Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness.

How many stages are there in RRB Technician Exam?

 

There are 3 major stages in the RRB Technician Recruitment process - CBT, document verification and medical examination. Given below are the details of each stage:

The RRB Technical Grade 3 exam pattern involves subjects like Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness. The exam is conducted for a total of 100 marks. The details are given below:

  • Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates)
  • Qualifying Marks: 40% for EWS, 30% for SC&OBC, and 25% for ST

What are the documents required for RRB Technician?

 

Documents such as passport-size photographs, SC/ST certificates, signature, and more are required for the RRB Technician exam. After the RRB Technician CBT exam, candidates will be required to submit their documents to the board. RRB will examine every qualified candidate's documents before preparing the final merit list. All applicants must submit their original documents to the board. In case of any fraudulent or malpractice activity, the recruitment of the candidate will be cancelled.
