What is SSC JE Selection Process 2026?

 

The Selection Process 2026 includes Paper I, Paper II, and Document Verification. A major change this year is that Paper I is qualifying in nature, while the final merit and allotment are based on Paper II marks and the candidate's post/organization preference.

  • Paper I: Objective-type Computer-Based Examination. It is qualifying in nature and is used to shortlist candidates for Paper II.
  • Paper II: Objective-type Computer-Based Examination of the relevant engineering/technical subject. Paper II marks are used for final merit.
  • Document Verification: Conducted by the concerned User Department for provisionally shortlisted candidates after the declaration of the final result.

Note: The minimum qualifying marks in Paper I and Paper II are 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS, and 20% for all other categories.
