APPSC Group 2 Eligibility- Eligibility Criteria, Attempts

Every year, the APPSC (Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission) issues a notification for the recruitment of qualified individuals for Group – 2 positions. The vacancy is released for a number of posts such as Assistant Commercial Tax Officer (A.C.T.O.) in the A.P. Commercial Taxes Subordinate Service, Assistant Labour Officer (A.L.O.) in the A.P. Labour, Employment Subordinate Service, Assistant Development Officers (A.D.O.) in the A.P. Handloom and Textile Department and Deputy Tahsildar in the A.P. Revenue Subordinate Service. The applicants must refer to the APPSC Group 2 Eligibility criteria before applying for various posts.

APPSC Group 2 Eligibility

Age Relaxations For Different Categories

Age relaxations are available to candidates from specific categories in the APPSC Group 2 age limit. The age relaxation for Group 2 APPSC exams for reserved categories is as follows:

3	Ex-Servicemen	In addition to the length of his service in the armed forces / NCC, he may be allowed to deduct a total of three years off his age.
4	N.C.C. (who has worked as an Instructor in N.C.C.)
5	A.P. State Government Employees (Employees of APSEB, APSRTC, Corporations, Municipalities, etc. are not eligible)	Based on the length of regular service, a maximum of 5 years may be granted.
6	Retrenched temporary employees in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6 months.	3 years
7	Widows, women who have been judicially separated from their spouses, divorced women, and women who have not remarried and are members of the SC/ST community are covered by Rule 12(b)(iii) of the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, with regard to Junior Assistant posts.	The maximum age is 48 years.
8	Widows, women who have been judicially separated from their spouses, divorced women, and women who have not remarried and do not belong to the SC/ST category are all covered under Rule 12(b)(iii) of the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, with regard to Junior Assistant jobs.	The maximum age is 43 years.

Candidates must also be fluent in both of the local languages, namely Hindi and Telugu.

Number Of Attempts

The APPSC Commission has not set a limit on how many times a candidate can apply for these positions. Candidates may continue to apply for these positions until they reach the APPSC’s maximum age limit.

Experience

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) does not require candidates to have any specific experience in order to apply for Group 2 positions. However, some additional requirements for specific positions are listed in the preceding table.
