Renowned political cartoonist Ajit Ninan has sadly passed away at the age of 68, leaving behind a legacy of impactful and humorous work. Known for his wit and insight, Ninan’s cartoons graced the pages of esteemed publications, earning him recognition as one of India’s finest cartoonists.

Ajit Ninan’s illustrious career was marked by his contributions to various publications, each featuring his distinct brand of humor and satire. His work in India Today magazine’s “Centrestage” series and “Ninan’s World” in the Times of India were celebrated for their incisive commentary on political and social issues. However, Ninan’s talents extended beyond the realm of politics. He was equally beloved for his creations in children’s literature, notably Detective Moochwala and his faithful canine companion Pooch, which graced the pages of Target, a youth magazine from the 1980s.
