• Make yourself familiar with the exam pattern of the CMAT 2022 exam
• In addition to the exam pattern, aspirants need to pay attention to the syllabus of the exam and make it a point to cover all the topics included in the syllabus.
• Make short notes which will be helpful in your revision
• Take as many mock tests as possible. It will help you understand your strong and weak areas. In addition to that, it will also help in time management during the real exam.
• Do not try to attempt questions by guessing the answer as it can lead to more inaccurate attempts and negative marking.
• Try to answer at least 50-60% of the total questions with 100 % accuracy. It will ensure that you will get a good percentile score.

Language Comprehension

The language comprehension section consists of reading comprehension in the form of passages, vocabulary based questions and other patterns such as para jumbles, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, synonym antonym etc.

To score well in this section, the candidate needs to focus more on reading editorials of English newspapers like The Hindu, Times of India etc. It will help improve vocabulary as well as reading comprehension.

Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation

The quant section of CMAT is going to consist of questions from the topics such as time and work, train problems, mensuration, age, number systems, profit and loss, simple and compound interest etc.

The best preparation strategy would be to memorise square roots, cube roots, multiplication tables up to 20 for faster calculation. Take sectional mock tests to assess your preparation level and to determine the strong and weak areas.

Logical Reasoning

The logical reasoning section comprises various types of questions such as direction, classification, seating arrangement, syllogism, blood relations, coding-decoding etc that will test your analytical and reasoning skills.

The best way to score more marks in this section is to practice a good number of mock tests for each topic as well as combined tests for the reasoning section. The questions can be of a moderate level. Therefore, guessing answers will not be beneficial for aspirants.

General Awareness

The general awareness section will be mostly involved with current affairs and the latest news concerning sports, awards and honours, books and authors, Indian and world events, the economy etc. The aspirants must focus more on static GK as difficult questions can be expected from this topic.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship

This section will be dealing with questions mostly based on basic concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship such as how to run a business, types of business, start-ups, different policies of government related to business, market and capital, types of entrepreneurs etc.
