• International Hockey Federation (FIH) revealed a new world ranking system for the teams which will be implemented from January 1, 2020. Headquarters of FIH is situated in Lausanne, Switzerland.
• Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) organized the 29th National Energy Conservation Awards in New Delhi. National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated on 14th Dec.
• TV Somanathan has been appointed as the Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
• Moody’s Investors further lowered the GDP Forecast for India for the year 2019 at 5.6%.
• Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been ranked at 34th in “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” list published by Forbes magazine. German Chancellor Angela Merkel topped the list.
• Haryana Police Department has adopted a unique barcoding software called Trakea. The cases will be allocated to the biotechnology experts without revealing the cases or the names associated with the case.

Pakistan has signed an MoU with the World Bank of 406.6 million $ for the Khyber Pass Economic Corridor (KPEC). The pass is from Peshawar to Torkham border point with Afghanistan.

Jamaica’s Toni- Ann Singh crowned Miss World 2019. She is the 4th woman from Jamaica to win the Miss world title.

• West Indies pummeled India’s hope as Hetmyer and Hope took Windies home with a classic innings.
• Manchester City crush Arsenal as Kevin DeBruyne shines. Manchester City won the match 3-0.
• Grandmaster Koneru Humpy finished runner-up in FIDE Grand Prix in Monaco. She was also able to retain her World No. 3 title.
• Sri Lankan Mithun Perera won the inaugural ICC RCGC open at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club Course in Kolkata.
• Tiger Woods’ led United States won the Presidential Cup denying the victory to Internationals at a first Presidents Cup.
