JKPSC KAS Exam Timings : The JKPSC KAS Prelims Exam 2022 will be conducted on 31 July 2022. The prelims exam for both the papers is conducted on the same day. Paper II	12.30 pm	2 pm – 4 pm

JKPSC KAS Important Instructions

• You are requested to be present in the examination venue, atleast 2 hours before the commencement of the examination due to security/frisking at the Examination Venue i.e.. 08.00 am for First Session and for the Second before 12.30 pm.
• You will not be allowed in the exam hall 30 minutes before the start of Examination i.e.,09.30 am for the morning session and 01.30pm for the afternoon session.
• Make sure you carry your Admit Card with a photograph to the Examination Hall without fail.
• Ensure you carry passport photographs with you
• Carry a valid Photo ID with a photocopy of the same.
• You cannot leave the examination hall before the end of 2 hours (duration of each paper).
• Candidates need to bring their own blue/black ballpoint pen.
• No borrowing or exchange of articles could be allowed in the examination hall.

Items not allowed in the Exam Hall

• Any stationary item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Digital or smart watches, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, Any communication device like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band etc.
• Other items like Goggles, Handbags, Cap, Camera, Any metallic item,
• Any eatable item opened or packed, water bottle (only transparent water bottle is allowed),5means for hiding communication devices like camera, bluetooth devices etc.

JKPSC KAS Prelims Exam Pattern

JKPSC Prelims Exam is the first stage for the JKPSC selection process. Candidates securing minimum cutoff marks in the Prelims Exam of JKPSC KAS 2022 will be called to appear for the Mains Exam. The JKPSC KAS Prelims Exam will have two papers: General Studies Paper- I and General Studies Paper-II.

• The JKPSC Prelims Exam comprises of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each for Paper 1 and 2.
• Both the JKPSC Prelims Papers will be of 200 marks each.
• For each incorrect answer in the JKPSC Prelims Exam, there is a penalty of 0.33 marks.
• It is compulsory to score at least 33% in General Studies Paper-II.

Important tips for the exam

• Know how to reach your examination venue before-hand
• Reach the exam on time. Late-comers won’t be allowed
• Make sure you have a hard copy of your admit card with you
• Ensure you don’t carry any of the things not allowed in the examination hall
• Don’t mention anything on your admit card or answer papers that reveals your identity
• Due to negative marking, be careful about answering questions you are unsure about. Only make educated guess if required
• Don’t spend too much time on any one question. Mark for review and come back later if time permits
• It is compulsory to score at least 33% (66 Marks) in General Studies Paper-II. Make sure you answer enough questions
