The PU LLB Entrance Exam is conducted annually by the Panjab University for admission to the 3-year LLB course. Step 3: Login using your credentials- Registration number and password

Step 4: Click on the Result link. The PU LLB Entrance Exam Result will be displayed.

Important: 

• The PU LLB Entrance Exam Result will be released sometime in the third week of August 2022.
• The university will issue the result in the form of a scorecard, and no separate result cards will be issued.
• Candidates who clear the examination will be eligible for the counselling round.
• The Panjab University will issue a Merit List based on the minimum marks criteria of 20 per cent (15 per cent for SC/ST/BC/PwD).
• The final merit list will be published, considering the relative weightage. The relative weights are 50 per cent of the entrance examination and 50 per cent of the qualifying exam.

PU LLB Entrance Exam Result – Minimum Qualifying Marks

For admission to the 3-year LLB program, the Department prepares a merit list. Names of the students who secure the minimum qualifying are listed in this. The minimum qualifying marks are not the same as the cut-off marks, and the minimum qualifying marks do not guarantee admission.

To qualify in the PU LLB entrance exam and secure a rank in the merit list, candidates need to secure the following marks:

PU LLB Entrance Exam Result – Calculation of Merit List

Admissions to the Law stream in Punjab University are granted based on merit. The university will prepare the list of the shortlisted candidates based on the candidate’s performance in both the entrance and the qualifying examination. 

The final merit for will be made by the Department after calculating the merit rank of the candidates as per the following:

• PU LLB Entrance Examination: 50 per cent weightage
• Qualifying Examination: 50 per cent weightage

PU LLB Entrance Exam Result – Tie-Breaking Method:

In case two or more candidates secure similar marks, Panjab University ranks them on the merit list according to the following:

• Preference in the merit list ranking will be given to the candidate who has a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination.
• If the issue remains, preference will be provided to the candidate who has a higher percentage in the intermediate exam.
• In case the situation remains the same, the preference will be given to the candidate older in age.

PU LLB Counselling

Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counseling session. After the session, the students will be given admission.
