•         The SSC JSO Tier I Examination is a computer-based objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) test.

•         The medium of examination is Hindi and English.

• The Commission will conduct the examination in online mode only. 

•         The total number of questions is 100 for each paper.

•         Each question carries 2 marks.

•         Total marks for Tier I is 200.

•         Negative marking is applicable. For every wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted.

•         The duration of the examination is an hour (60 minutes)

• The SSC JSO Tier II Examination is a computer-based objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) test.
• Paper-I and -II of Tier-II are compulsory for all posts.
• Paper-III will be taken by candidates who have applied for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and are shortlisted in Tier-I for the Posts.
• Paper-IV needs to be given by candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
• Negative marking is applicable. For every wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted.
• The time duration of each paper is 120 minutes (2 hours).

SSC CGL Examination Pattern- Tier III

• The Tier III examination is descriptive.

SSC CGL Examination Pattern- Tier IV

Tier IV is a skill test that will be conducted in two stages.

• Stage 1- DEST (Data Entry and Speed Test)
• Stage 2- CPT (Computer Proficiency Test)

For stage 1, the candidates must type 2000 words in 15 minutes on a computer in English. This test is taken to evaluate the candidates writing skills. The CPT is taken to check Proficiency in word processing, generation of slides, and spreadsheets. The time duration for this test is 15 minutes. Both the tests are qualifying in nature.

Documents To Carry

The list of important documents that the candidate must carry to the examination centre for the SSC CGL Exam are;

• Admit Card:

It is mandatory to carry the Admit Card to the examination centre. Candidates who do not have their admit cards will not be allowed to take their exams.

• Photo ID Proof: Along with the Admit card, the candidate should carry a valid Photo ID proof to the examination centre. The documents that can be carried by the candidates are:

Important Instruction For The Examination Day

Go through the following details for a hassle-free examination experience.

1. Before you start writing your examination, the investigators will ask you to put your signature or thumb impression on their files.
2. Paste your passport-sized photo in the space provided.
3. Report to the examination centre at least 90 minutes before the time.
4. Checking for removal of electronic items, Calculators, chits, etc., too, will be done.
5. The candidate should carry a black/ blue ball-point pen to the exam centre.
