Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2023 by the Indian Army and CLAWS

The “Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2023” is an event organized by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS). This inaugural edition of the Chanakya Defence Dialogue is scheduled for November 3rd and 4th, 2023, at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi. It marks the first of its kind event organized by the Indian Army.

In a time when defence and security landscapes are rapidly changing, General Manoj Pande, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), presided over the curtain raiser event, providing a glimpse of the forthcoming two-day defence dialogue. This dialogue aims to address a broad spectrum of regional and global security issues.

About the Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2023

The Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2023 will conduct a thorough examination of security challenges in South Asia and the Indo-Pacific region. Its primary objective is to develop a roadmap for collaborative security measures in the area, enhancing India’s standing as a prepared, resurgent, and significant participant among the nations in this region.

This platform will provide an in-depth analysis of the diverse security challenges in South Asia and the Indo-Pacific, with the aim of charting a course for collective security within the region.

Curtain Raiser Event of the Chanakya Defense Dialogue

The Indian Army is operating as part of a larger defence and security eco-system and is proactively reaching out to other Government Departments and Ministries, to enhance outcomes.
