The home ministry revealed last month that former Agniveers would henceforth receive a 10% hiring preference for Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) positions. In addition, a modification of the upper age limit has been announced, depending on whether the Agniveers are from the initial batch or later batches.
According to the ministry, the upper age limit may be relaxed by up to five years for applicants from the first batch of former Agniveers and by up to three years for applicants from other cohorts.
