CTET Result 2024 – School Applicability & Teacher Recruitment

(i) The CTET is applicable to schools under the Central Government, including Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS), Central Tibetan Schools, etc., and schools administered by Union Territories such as Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.

(ii) Unaided private schools also have the option to consider the CTET for teacher recruitment.

(iii) Schools managed by State Governments/local bodies and aided schools typically consider the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the respective State Government. However, a State Government may choose to adopt the CTET if it opts not to conduct its own State TET.

(iv) As per CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws 53, which prescribe the minimum qualifications for teachers in schools affiliated with CBSE, it is mandatory for teachers appointed to teach classes I to VIII in CBSE-affiliated schools to qualify the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) or the respective Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the appropriate Central/State Government, in accordance with the guidelines set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

CTET Certificate Validity and Duplicate Document Procedures

(i) The CTET qualifying certificate remains valid for a lifetime from the date of declaration of the CTET result 2024 for all categories.

(ii) There is no limit on the number of attempts an individual can make to obtain a CTET Certificate. Those who have qualified for CTET may also reappear to enhance their score.

(iii) Candidates can obtain a duplicate copy of the Marks Statement or Eligibility Certificate by paying the prescribed fee via a Demand Draft in favor of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, drawn on any nationalized bank, payable at Delhi. The format and charges applicable for applying for a duplicate marks statement/certificate are available on the CTET’s official website, i.e., www.ctet.nic.in.

(iv) The issuance of a duplicate document takes 14 working days. The applicable amount for obtaining a duplicate document is Rs.200/- along with Rs. 35/- for postal charges.
