IBPS PO Mains 2019 Attempt Strategy 

1. Scan the sections thoroughly before attempting

Take up the first 1-2 minutes to scan the complete section. This exercise will help you understand the level of paper and types of questions that are asked. After scanning the paper, you can decide which questions to attempt first so that the attempts can be maximized. 

2. Read the questions attentively

Read the questions with utmost caution. Re-read them if the questions are not clear. Never make a mistake of assuming anything and then going on to marking the wrong answers. 

3. Attempt those topics that you are good at

Attempt the questions that seem easy or those ones that you strong at. Attempt your strongest topic first: This will help build your confidence for the remainder of the test. Attempt the more demanding topic in the middle as concentration levels tend to peak at that time.

4. Give the questions adequate time

Give a question adequate time to understand and attempt. But at the same time, do not spend too much time solving a single question. This exercise might eat up your precious time and as a result, you would not have enough time to solve other questions which might be easier than the one you got stuck onto.

Try to maximize your attempts keeping in mind the concept of accuracy.

1. Revision is the key

In these remaining 2 days for the exam, understand the importance of the section of General Awareness. This section if revised adequately can fetch you very high marks thereby increasing your overall mains exam marks. GA could be a game-changer. Do not underestimate its importance. Do revise the current affairs of past 5-6 months so that you are able to retain them and answer correctly in the exam. 

Do not take revision lightly and leave it for the last night. Revise all the concepts, formula, shortcuts and tricks so that you don’t forget them.

2. Mock Test Analysis

Go through your Mock Analysis to check where you went wrong. It’ll help you not to repeat the same while attempting the exam.

3. Be Exam Ready

This isn’t about preparation! Don’t wait until the eleventh hour to make sure that you have all the things you need, such as: admit card, ID proof, pen/ pencils etc. in the exam. Also, ensure that you reach the centre well ahead of time.

4. Take an adequate amount of sleep and do not study till the last hour 

It is important to have a fresh mind to perform well in the exam. Do NOT study too much during these last few days. Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep before the exam day. This is important in order to keep your mind fresh during the exam time.

5. Stay Calm and Be Confident

Yes. We do say that a lot but only because it is so important!
