About Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh

Skill India organized a “Kaushal Convocation” with the aim of promoting skill-based education and recognizing and honoring candidates who have completed their training under various Skill India programs. The event had participants from prestigious skill development institutes, including Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK), Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), DGT, PMKVY, SANKALP, apprentices, IIE, NIPUN, Skill India International Centre, NIESBUD, and Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS). This initiative aligns with the goal of enhancing skills and employability among India’s youth.

Vision

The Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh aims to combine school-based and work-based learning to nurture talent and enable students to showcase their skills globally. The trained students have acquired skills in various job roles, such as assistant computer operator, UI/UX developer, data scientist, social media strategist, beauty care assistant, mine surveyor, domestic care, and more. This initiative is part of Skill India’s effort to empower youth with practical skills for a wide range of career opportunities.

Background

The Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) organized a grand convocation ceremony last year under the guidance of the Prime Minister. This year, the aim is to further instill a sense of pride and respect among all students involved in the skill ecosystem for being part of the nation-building initiative. The ceremony will showcase the hard work and dedication of the students, inspiring a sense of bonding among them.
