SSC CGL Transfer Policy : SSC CGL is one of the most popular graduate-level government exams. Every year lakh candidates appear in the examination and get shortlisted for different positions in the state and central government departments. Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL Posts promotion

After joining the services in government departments, candidates have two ways to receive promotions from the department. Two ways to be eligible for the promotion are as follows:

  1. Departmental examinations are conducted for the promotion of employees after every 3 to 5 years. Candidates who have joined the position of the inspector are generally promoted to the post of Deputy Superintendent.
  2. Promotions are also given to the employees based on their service tenure. However, tenure-based promotions take longer periods as compared to departmental exams. 
  3. 1st promotion is given after the service tenure of 5 to 10 years depending on the particular department. Second and third promotions are usually given within the span of 3-5 years.
